LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30 1984) was an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The national media celebrated James as an NBA star. In 2003 his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers took him first during the NBA draft as a pro-to-prep. In 2004, he was named NBA Rookie. He quickly was one of the league's best athletes, winning the NBA MVP award in 2009 and the year 2010. After failing to win the championship Cleveland James left in 2010 by way of a free-agent to become a member of Miami Heat. Miami Heat this was announced on television in the special The Decision and is among the most controversial free agent decisions throughout sports history.
